From laparoscopy to Ibuprofen

I have severe menstrual cramps. I have had a laparoscopy to determine if I had endometriosis. The result was negative. To help with cramping, I found only one thing works: Ibuprofen. I take 4, 200mg tablets approximatly 4 times per day. They totally get rid of the pain. It works best if you take them as soon as the first symptoms appear. If you wait until the pain is high, it will take longer to work but eventually takes care of it.

Cramps

I usually take two 800mg of motrin and sit in a warm bath to relax. The majority of the time, it really works.

I was told that if you take pain medicine before your period, you will not get cramps all that bad or not at all. So try taking advil or midol before your period starts and see how well that goes.

Crazy Cramps, Crazy Solution.

I get cramps really bad during my periods. This may sound weird, but I tell my boyfriend to come lay down with me and get him to give me a lower back massage, and a good stomach massage. Works everytime!

Cramps, Cramps and more cramps

My cramps have always been horrible, I've tried everything but nothing seems to help. Now my doctor has scheduled me to have a laparoscopy done to rule out endometriosis. Now I'm scared, my pre-op date it June the 18th and I'm having mixed emotions. I don't know anyone that's ever had this done or for that matter anyone that has endometriosis, so I'm fustrated because your doctor can only relate to you on a doctors level and my mom and sisters just don't understand. I'm starting to feel crazy.
