if nothing works....

all of these solutions sound like really good ideas.. but if you still have really bad cramps like i do then you should go to the doctors and get it checked. i let mine go for about 4 years thinking that everyone had as bad of cramps as i did an then i come to find out that i had endometriosis. its nothing fun and they can do somthing to get rid of it. but in the mean time heating pad, medicine, and sleep is probably your best bet. =)

Back Pains

My lower back is the killer. The only thing that works is hot showers! you can lay down or stand up against the water and let the stream and warmth massage your back for you.

My System

Ever since I started my period I have always had killer cramps and it has taken me a few years to get the hang of knocking them out. I had to come up with a system. As soon as I feel them coming on I take a few midol and hop into bed with a heating pad as soon as possible. I stay curled up until the cramps subside and take a short sleep. The combo of meds. heat and rest always work and if i start to cramp again i can always take a midol and then a nap.

SOMETHING WARM

A GOOD DECAFFINATED TEA ALWAYS HELP AND IF YOU DONT HAVE TEA SOME MILK WOULD DO. SOMETIMES ALSO MOVING AROUND WILL SUBSIDE THE CRAMPS. YOU NEED EVERYTHING WARM ON YOUR TUMMY

With cramps that were so bad where I was doubled over in pain, the one thing that really helped me soooooo much was taking a dishtowel getting it wet, wrapping it in saran wrap and putting in the microwave for a few minutes and than placing another dishtowel around it and place it on my lower stomach. Its better than a heating pad or a hotwater bottle. Good Luck

Physical

I know it doesn't make sense. I rock......I turn on country music (my favorite) and tune into it with my ears and eyes.....then rock. It allows me to focus on something other than the pain while letting the vicodin or t3's kick in.
