I'm Pregnant!

When you found out you were pregnant, how long did you wait until you told dad-to-be? How did you tell him and was he the first person you told? Did everyone react as you expected?

I'm Pregnant!

Told him right away as I can't keep a secret that huge!

Gosh I always told him right away. They only time I did anything remotely creative was when I wrapped the test in a mug to disguise it. LOL! He still knew what it was somehow!
Reactions changed for my third. More people were like, why are you having another one of those? Like it was a disease I was contracting. I didn;t even tell certain people about the fourth due to negativity the third time.

I'm Pregnant!

I guess i am pregnant!

I did a pregnancy test 3 days earlier and it was positive! I couldn't believe it ! But i thought i would wait a few more days. On the day i was supposed to get my period i did another test, still positive and haven't gotten my period yet, so i guess i am pregnant! I will still do another test in a couple of days to just make sure! I kinda had the feeling it would happen this month, then i started to feel a bit different than usual, so i decided to do the pregnancy test!
My husband was very excited! This our first one! No one knows yet, but my mom, we will break the good news on Christmas Day! We've been TTC since May.Good luck to everyone out there that are TTC!

I'm Pregnant!

Emails

We have a daughter, 3.5 years old.

I told him the day I found out. I have a very regular cycle. I wasn't on birth control and we rarely used condoms. So we weren't trying, but we weren't doing anything to stop it either. I was having all my normal PMS symptoms, so it never occured to me that I may be pregnant. All my PMS symptoms back then were also the exact same as pregnancy symptoms, tiredness, very sore swollen breasts, the works. It was normal for me. It didn't dawn on me until one night laying bed my husband(then bf) asked "Shouldn't your aunt be here by now?" I hadn't occured to me she was late. At that time she wasn't really. Just by a few days. No big deal. I had been extremely tired that week. So one day between shifts I decided to stop by the drug store to get a test. Never thought it would be positive. I peed on it and walk out. Waited the time, and BFP.
He didn't know I was testing. So I emailed him at work. I sent him a picture of the test. Stating "This is what I did when I got home." I sent a second picture of the result, with the message "And this was the result." :) We weren't expecting it, but were happy none the less. While I want another child, I don't, and neither does he if that makes sense. So once again, while we aren't wanting one or "trying" for another, we aren't doing anything to stop it. I got off the pill in June, but not because we wanted to leave it up to chance. Got off for personal reasons. But due to other issues that the pill seemed to help, if I'm not pregnant this month, I'm getting back on bc.

How I told my husband of our pregnancys

With both of my kids I kept my husband very informed. So with our first daughter we found out the day before our 6 month planned wedding. I told him that I thought I was pregnant he went and got the test and waited patiently after I took it. No joke only took 5 secs to show us that we were going to have a baby. I was already having "all day sickness" and could not eat anything at our wedding the next day. We didn't tell anyone for about 2 months after words. I didn't want everything to think we got married because of that. Most people didn't realize we had been planning our wedding for so long.
Our second child he actually told me, "hey honey you have been pretty sick lately you sure you aren't pregnant". Took the test and sure enough that was our little Sara. We told everyone after we found out we were so excited.
I can't wait for number 3. Hopefully some day soon and we have been trying for 6 months so he will know as soon as I do.

I'm Pregnant!

Make your own decision thats best for you!

i told him on the very day i found out i was shocked that i was as my periods very irregular and saw no problems with it being late. I actually told the father to be over the phone because he was impatient and thought there was something more sinisterly wrong as to why i was delaying to tell him. I actually told my friend first as she was rang me to check on me. when i finally plucked up the courage to tell my mum she wasn't very impressed she felt i should have a abortion as did my boyfriend but i made my own decision as i felt there reasoning more concrened their lifes and was selfish. I've been too scared to share with every other family members such as my dad but my friends have been exicited and supportive. My boyfriends started to change his mind since his saw the picture of the scan.
