Conception Frustrations?

If you're trying to conceive and it's taking longer than you had hoped, what frustrations are you running into? Is it that just about everyone around you seems to be pregnant? Or, something someone said? Or, is you-know-who (your mom, his mom...) pressuring you or asking when way too often? Does it sometimes feel like TTC is more like Trying to Cope?

Conception Frustrations?

Pregnancy Trouble after DEPO shots.

I am 25 years old and have been with my husband for 8 years. We married about 3 years ago and we stopped all birth controls at that time. I was on the DEPO shot for 3 years prior to getting married so I did not have a regular period at that time. Infact I wasnt having one at all. Last year my periods started coming every 3 to 6 months. In Jan. I finally saw a doctor about it and she had me take hormones to get my ovaries back on track. Now I am having a period ever month and naturally on my own. We are wanting a baby so bad and every month we have been dissapointed. I am not sure what to do next. Anyone else having trouble after being on the DEPO?

Can you say frustrated?

I know that for some people my story seems like nothing but I personally find it frustrating. I am 22 years old and my husband and I have been married for just about two years now and we have never used birth control (it was if it happens it happens)but a year ago we decided to give it a honest try. So I went out and got a fertility monitor and I take a test every morning of the month and time things perfectly!!! it has now been a full year and nothing; not even a false alarm. My husband refuses to get fertility tested which in itself is frustrating as if it is a fertility issue I would like to know sooner rather than later.
And I can totally relate to the comments from family members, my mom always asks for a grandchild for Christmas, birthday, etc. while every time I talk to my dad he repeatedly points out that we should have children for at least 5 more years (urg! we both have successful careers with the government and own our house with a nice big backyard and have the income base needed to raise an infant).
Thanks for reading the rant!!

TTC over 40

Hi all,

I am in my early 40,s and me and my husband have been TTC for over two years. So I can understand your frustration especially if you have no kids, but even if you do like us, it is still very frustrating. We have two boys 14 years(Adopted) and 7 years old. Sometimes I feel like it's wrong to want a baby at this age, but I do and so does my husband. We both feel and act young and the Dr says we are both in great shape, well I do have a bad back, but last time had a c-section. We are going the all natural route, but I am starting to think perhaps we might need a little help. Anyone in my shoes with the age thing or taking fertility drugs?

May God Bless you all!

TTC

I totally understand. My husband and I have been married for almost two years come October. Everywhere I turn, all my friends are popping out babies like it's nothing. I hear the same thing all the time so, when are you having a baby? Instead, I just reply when God say's it's time. I know that it get's frustrating at times, believe me I have cried many of times, over my period coming on or getting a bfn but it get's better. It just makes me work harder. Trust and keep your eye on God, he will bring you the desires of your heart when you least expect it.

TTC nothing YET n frustrated!!

I have been TTC for about six months now, and have been off of BC for over a year now. My friend flew in from out of town and all of us got together for a photo... all my friends and their kids relatively the same age, I find myself sitting on a bench with no kid in my lap. I am Married, for two years, going to school and doing the best I can financially to benifit my future children and everyone around me is having babies. I love all my nieces and nephews and get all the crtisism from family like you better catch up.. when u guys having one,,? Im sick of it!! the only one that doesnt seem very supportive is my mother in law, at a family get together I was holding one of the "million" newborns their and they started to cry so I handed her back to mom and she said dont worry you will know what to do when you have one of your own, my mother in law said, "well dont encourage her". I felt like screeming at her, and saying im the only one here that was responcible about every step I have made but all these underage, no job, no cares, girls that can pop babies out like no tomorrow, I CANT HAVE ONE? I held my breath and went home as soon as I could. anyone else need to vent come and talk to me. All I keep praying is that God, if it is your will to give me a child and it will grow to know and love you and you will protect it then I'm ready when you are. In Jesus name amen, ect.

TTC at 35....Will it happen??

I have been TTC for almost two years. I started my cycle at age 13 and always had irregular periods. At times I would go 2 or 3 months w/o a period. At age 17, I got PG and gave birth in 1990. Since 1990, I have been using BC ranging from the Pill, Patch and NuvaRing. I got married in 2006. I stopped using BC since the fall of 2006. My periods are still irregular. For example in March 2008 I had normal 4-5 day period. In April 2008 I did not get my period. In May 2008, I had my period for almost 2 weeks but it wasn't a regular flow, it was more like medium spotting. I've taken 3 test and all were a BFN. Am I going through menopause or something. Could the years of using BC affect my current conception chances?
