Conception Frustrations?

If you're trying to conceive and it's taking longer than you had hoped, what frustrations are you running into? Is it that just about everyone around you seems to be pregnant? Or, something someone said? Or, is you-know-who (your mom, his mom...) pressuring you or asking when way too often? Does it sometimes feel like TTC is more like Trying to Cope?

Conception Frustrations?

SO ready!!

I got off the pill the end of December and we have been trying to get pregnant since. There was a month or two where we didn't try as hard as we should have due to work, illness, etc. but it is still so frustrating to have been off the pill this long, and no good news. So many of my friends have just had a baby & that's all I can think about. Every month my period comes and I get sadder every time. I get myself so excited thinking I have so many of the "symptoms of pregnancy" to only see the most horrific thing a girl trying to conceive can see! My Mom and his Mom knows we are trying and I hate seeing their faces whenever they ask about the progress and we can only let them down. I am not doing this for them, but still I know they will both be so happy (which I was kinda surprised to hear they were ready!) when (or if) this ever happens!

4 1/2 Years and still trying!

Hi, I'm 26 and been married for nearly 4 years. My husband and I have been trying for 4 1/2 years now to get pregnant. Am currently going through all the tests, but everything so far is showing as normal. My husband already has a 7 year old son so makes me think the problem is on my side! But hey... we'll just keep trying!

They say I'm too young and he's too old..

I have been with my fiance for only 2 years. We plan to get married in May 2008. We have been trying to conceive for 9 months now. I'm 21. He is 42(he looks 30). Although so has two children from a previous marriage, we both want so badly to have a family of our own. After 6 months of trying, I had a HSG done. Turns out that I have only one open tube. At 21, and very healthy, there is actually something wrong with me. I hear and read a lot of stories about women who have trouble getting pregnant, but until you go through it yourself, you have no idea. My family knows all this, but for some reason I still need to tell it. I feel like I'm the only one going through this. I have a box of baby clothes. I have tons of books on this subject. I even had at one time baby toys laying around the house to remind myself to stay possitive. I'm the only one who is having a hard time at that. To everyone who is going though this, I dont even know what to say, I'm sorry.

I hear you!

My husband and I have been trying for a while now to get pregnant too. My frustrations is the irregularity of my cycles. Last month I was 54 days between periods (which is the longest I have ever gone) and then this month it's 21 days between the first day of my last period, till the first day of this period! (which is the shortest time they have ever been apart! I don't understand it at all!

TTC JOURNEY

3 Years ago this past June I had a "chemical pregnancy", i also had a loss about 3 months prior to this that had to have a D & C so it was a pretty rough year. Ever since then Ive been on this baby kick. DH and I have been trying off and on for 3 years. We've even tried 3 cycles of IUI. Everytime it ends up being a BFN.

The Dr tells us it's unexplained infertility. He's 28 I'm 24. The past couple years ive been in many friends weddings and now my best friend who got married last year is pregnant with her first. She was told she would have problems getting that way and just ended up that way. I feel like im surrounded by pregnant women and there are some that Ive watched go through a whole pregnancy and just find out they are pregnant again all within this time frame of us trying.

Im not even sure we can cope anymore at this point. IVF is too expensive and all these medications are taking their toll, our patience is gone and its really put a damper on things. Will this journey ever end?!

DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO??

Well first of all hello! I am 24 and I got pregnant last year in November. Have been having irregular periods and have been trying to get pregnant. When I found out I was pregnant it was a surprise cause I did not get a period in Oct of 2006 and in November I was already 5 weeks pregnant. I unfortunatly lost the baby in January of this year (2007) and like any woman would feel, very sad. It never crossed my mind that I, would go through anything like that and I did.

I was told by my Gyn that I could try agin in 3-6months. I wanted to wait and get two normal periods. Well in march was my first one after my D&C. Then I did not get one in April until June 3rd.

I have missed another period again, and I did several pregnancy tests and all neg. I just feel soo mad and sad cause I just dont know when I should start tyring again or if I should even wait for another year or ..I dont know. but I hope to God that I do get blessed whith one pretty soon. I just have to be patient and relax.
