midol complete

I take Midol Complete! It usually takes most of the pain away so that it is bearable!

Another fan of Pamprin Extra Strength

Thanks to those who mentioned Pamprin Extra Strength. I typically don't experience intense cramping, but this month I did during PMS. After reading the suggestions here, I tried it and it really worked wonders! Got my period this weekend, and cramping has now subsided, but if it returns next month I will know where to turn, thanks to you all.

Hoping that intense cramps are not something that I am going to experience from here on out, but have noticed subtle changes in my monthly cycles and my periods the last few months, so who knows. Perhaps "middle age" (however that may be defined) is settling in for me - and with that some changes to my menstrual cycle. Isn't life grand?

I agree!

I completely agree, I take the same dosage of ibuprofen, although sometimes that doesn't even take it completely away. I have (by far) the worst periods of any woman I've ever known, the only person that can relate is my mom!

Exercise Ladies...

I have found the only thing that consistently works for me is a steady exercise routine. We're talking atleast 45 mins everyday of cardio. Doesn't have to be intense. I used to have cramps so bad I would miss atleast a day of work every cycle to lay in bed, puking. I started swimming, biking, running, something everyday and it has shortened the length of my periods and I have very little cramping anymore. Not to mention the fact that my body looks better than it ever has. Exercise is key!

This stuff Rocks!

Recently I found Maximum Strength Pamprin All Day, not the one with caffeine the light purple one. This Pamprin has Naproxen Sodium (Aleve) and I take 2 and it lasts a good 10-12 hours. It is by far the best solution I have found to work for me.
