Help, irregular, heavy periods. Give me info please!!!!!

I am a 30 year old with 3 children and since my 2nd child 6 years ago my periods have been irregular and it took us 3 years to get pregnant with my 3 child. Since my 3rd child was born in Sep 2007, I did not get my period for 5 mon. I was breast feeding up until that time and started my periods has soon as I stopped. They are now back to being very irregular and heavy. Sometimes my cycles are 45-50 days. I do not have unusually painful periods, but do experience great emotional highs and lows throughout the month. I also have spotting throughout the month also. Does anyone else experience these types of periods? If so, I would love to hear what you have done to deal with them!!

My Irregular Regular Period

I'm 27 years old.
My grandmother and mother both had the same type of period I do - so I'm thinking it's in the genes?
My period comes every 3 months and when it does it's super heavy - so much that I've never been able to use a tampon because it wouldn't absorb it all in time.
And my period lasts for about 7 days.
Cramps are usually painful only the first day - then no cramps.
People have tried to tell me about endometriosis, cysts, etc. But I've gotten normal paps all my life and I think it's just genetics!
I've been on birth control pill in the past and it regulated my periods - but I can't get on them now because we are trying to get prego!

If anyone else has this same type of period could you let me know? I would like to know that I'm not the only one! And also if you have had children, please tell me because it would make me feel better about having an irregular regular period! TY! ;)

Ovulation and irregular cycles?

How do you figure out when your Ovulation is about to come if your periods are irregular?

What Is Going On?

My husband and I have been TTC now for about 2 years. We are 23 and have been unsuccessful at every attempt. I have been off ALL forms of birth control for about 2 years......and still....nothing. My periods are not real predictable or regular. I'm sure that has something to do with it. According to MMC my shortest cycle was 33 days with my longest at 49 days and an average of a 38 day cycle. My mom had endometrios when she was younger and my little sister has chronic pms and pain when on her period. I never really had any pain...until this year! Now my periods are pretty heavy (never really long which is normal for me) and it feels like a knife or scizzors slicing me deep inside! OUCH! I've had to take pain meds for it a few times. Does anyone else have this? What is it? I am scheduling an obgyn appointment for next month. Just wondering the opinion of everyone else.

Uterine Embolization

Are there anyone suffering from fibroids who have had Uterine Embolization to treat their fibroids. If yes, are you experiencing any problem with the treatment such as a discharge, pain etc.

Regular periods but possible PCOS

PCOS without irregular periods. The length of my last 12 cycles in reverse chronological order: 26, 28, 29 26, 27, 29, 28, 28, 29, 28, 27 and 26.

I have facial hair that seems to get worse with each passing day. I tweeze 2-3 times a week. Each time takes about 45 minutes. I can't shave because it is that obvious and coarse now.

I've had my male hormones checked. Normal. Thyroid is not ideal but within normal range. I am exhausted. My hair pretty much fell out earlier this year and is growing back VERY slowly. I'm simply fed up.

When I went to my gyn for an annual exam, I noted these problems and figured that she'd check for PCOS but she didn't so I'm going back on Tuesday.
