Fibroids

I have been a sufferer of Multiple Fibroids for 3 years now. My periods are regular normally, but this month it seems to be a few days late. I havent been given any treatment as they said to get rid of it, I will need a hysterectomy. So because I want children, no treatment has been given.

The only advise was to try for a baby now before the fibroids gets too big!!!!

Endo - partial oopherectomy and TTC

I was wondering if someone else was in my position, or something similar. i.e. TTC with only 3/4 of an ovary. I went in for a rather routine laproscopy to rule out endometriosis. I had 4 M/C and one vaginal birth. When they went in, they found more than they bargained for. The found a 13.5cm dermoid cyst full of hair and teeth on my right ovary. Looking left, I had a 3cm dermoid on my left. Endometriosis was everywhere. I awoke to find that I had lost my right ovary and a quarter of my left. I had horrific annovulatory buildup in my uterus resulting in a D&C. Many spot of Endo were burned, however, I was left with many spots. The miracle...the ovary I have 3/4 of, that TUBE is the ONLY spot in my abdomen spared of Endo. It was clear!!!!

My OB/GYN has hopeful thoughts on conception, or else I go on Lupron/medicinal menopause to treat the Endo.

I had my first cycle on May 6th - I had EWCM on day 14-16 of my cycle. My progesterone, I think prematurely, was tested on day 18. That "proved" anovulatory. UGH. Too early?

However, I am 8 dpo now (based on CM and a definate pos line on OPK on CD 21). I am choosing to disregard the progesterone test as I could have ovulated on cd 22 (day of test).

Anyway...long story kinda shorter...

anyone else TTC with endo, and only a partial ovary remaining? Any success stories?

Endo whirlwind and I don't know what end is up.

I have endo. My doctor said that surgery was the first option, prior to that I had no idea anything was wrong. I had massive surgery (think C-Section) and then was told to try, try, and try. My tubes are open and I am ovulating. My specialist refered me to another doctor who says try, try, try. It has been 9 months, 12 since surgery. Now what?

TTC with Endometriosis

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at the age of 20 and had surgery for it then. My doctor also told me that I would not have any problem conceiving. Now I am 33 (or will be in June) and have been ttc for a while. I just had a miscarriage (could have only been 3 weeks at the most) and I am concerned that even if I am able to conceive again, I will not be able to sustain it. I have just had my second blood test for hcg (to see make sure that my hormone levels are dropping)and I do not have a dr app. scheduled till May 8 to discuss my options. Before my doctor had mentioned Clomid but I have read that it can make the Endometriosis worse. Has anyone had experience with using Clomid while also having Endometriosis?

Severe change in cycles after m/c - anyone else???

I am 32 years old - well, I will be in May and I had a miscarriage after being pregnant for only 5/12 weeks about 5 months ago. I had always had relatively easy periods before then, and they were really really regular - 28 days before my 1st pregnancy, and then 26 days before this m/c. So I started my period roughly a month after the m/c and the next 3 periods weren't bad, but they were like 23 days apart. So I waited the recommended 3 periods before ttc again, and low and behold i was late for that 4th period. But it ended up coming after like 30 days, and all the HPT's came back neg, so I know it wasn't another m/c. That period and the last I have had have been simply awful, accompanied by heavy bleeding that lasts for about 5 or 6 days, and the cramps come and go throughout the month. I have had moderate ovarian pain around the time of ovulation, and these last two periods were around 29-30 days apart. So what in the heck? I am sick of worrying and the doc can't get me in until the end of this month, which is my regular yearly check-up. They did ultrasounds when I had the m/c - could i have developed cysts since then? Or worse, cancer? Although I know that ovarian cancer can be hard to diagnose anyway, I guess they would not have found that with a simple ultrasound. Oh, and the doc never once mentioned me having a D&C which I thought was due to the face that the pregnancy was so brief. This is just so annoying and frustrating. I just feel like even when I do get to the doctor, I won't have the answers I need. Is there anyone else out there who has experienced such a change in their cycles after a m/c? And if so, what was the reason? I'm just looking for a little comfort until that appointment which is in about 2 weeks.

Endometriosis surgery and ectopic pregnancy risks

I had endometriosis at the age of 16 and had surgery for it then. i'm now 25. when i had the surgery, my dr. me that he didn't forsee me having any fertility problems. After years of being careless at times, i was convinced i couldn't conceive and then in may of 2006 i got pregnant, not even 6 months after getting off the depo shot. However, during my c-section with my daughter, my OB told me that i had so much scar tissue all over my ovaries and tubes that he didnt know how i was able to conceive in the first place, let alone carry her full term and deliver a healthy baby. he said he tried to remove as much of the scar tissue as possible, but he told me not to be surprised if i have problems with ectopic pregnancies in the future. He said my daughter should have been one. she just turned 2 and my husband and i have decided its time to try for a brother or sister for her. i'm really really concerned and scared that it will be ectopic and non-viable if i do get pregnant. While on the shot, i hardly ever got a period, except for when it was time for my next injection, i'd spot for a couple weeks until i got it.Has anyone else ever experienced these types of problems, and what have your results/problems been? please pray for my family that God will see fit to bless us in the way He knows is best, whether it be with a new bundle of joy, or with more and more love to give the child we already have.
