TTC After Birth Control

Did you recently -- or some time ago -- come off birth control to TTC? What birth control were you using? Have your periods/cycles returned to your normal? Are you waiting a few months, or trying right away?

ttc after implanon

hi there,
i had implanon birth control (rod in my arm) removed august 2010, decided to try for a baby!, i have 3 children already from a previous relationship and my last pregnancy was 6 years ago!, im also now 35.
this is the 3 month of ttc..my periods have gone back to normal straight away thankfully which has made it easier working out my fertile time in the month. Im just hoping it will be as easy to fall as i did 6 years ago, within 3-4months each time. But i guess time will tell. My period due in couple of weeks so will see!
Cant help but think about it alot lol,
anyone in the same kind of situation, be glad to hear from you x

Short Luteal phase first cycle off pill

Hi girls,
I am new here! I just recently came off of BCP at the beginning of September. I was on Triquilar 21. We plan to wait until January to start trying because I wanted to give my cycles a few months to regulate. I used OPK's this month and charted my CM. I believe I ovulated on cycle day 19 but AF showed up yesterday which was cylce day 29 which would make my luteal phase only 9 days. Is it normal for your luteal phase to be out of whack for a few cycles after coming off birth control? Have any of you had this issue and it has gotten longer as you have more cycles. I have one DS who is 19 months old and we got pregnant 3 months after being off BC with him.
Thanks!

11 months of TTC after BC

Hi all,
I came off of bc 11 months ago (it was Sprintec, a 28 day pill) after being on it for about 2 years. I had my period in December '09 then in January nothing, so I took a pregnancy test, it was negative. I waited and in February didn't get my period so I took another test, it was also negative. I finally decided to just wait things out and I got my period in April. After that I didn't get my period again until August! I got it again in September & was really hoping to conceive but now it's October & I just got my period...a week later than I thought it should have come. I'm really disappointed and wondering if anyone else out there has any good luck and how long it took? Am I getting close now that my period is a bit more regular?
Thanks

TTC after BC and irregular periods

Hi there,

I'm also new to this whole TTC thing. I recently went off the pill in July, had a period on July18th and nothing since then. Went in for a pregnancy test and it came back an 8 which was positive but then went back down so it was a false positive. Needless to say, we were so disappointed.

We will keep trying but the thing is that without any period I don't even know when and if im even ovulating. My doctor told me to give it a few more months then come in January if still nothing (im 35 so scared im running low on time).

I did some research and came across a herbal remedy called Vitex, which is supposed to regulate periods..anyone using this? I want to call my doctor and ask but know she'll give me the whole waiting card and doesnt seem to get it that I'd rather do something than just wait!

TTC After Birth Control

Hoping this won't last forever...

Hi,
I am new to the site and this is my first time posting, I am just looking for a little advice. I recently went off birth control (loestrin fe 24) after just about 9 years on the pill. Prior to going on birth control, I was extremely regular 28-31 days tops. Ever since going off, things have been anything but normal. My last period on the pill was June 21st, then I didn't get my next one until August 2nd (41 days). I am now on cycle day 50. Took 2 tests, both BFN. Am I ever going to get back to a regular cycle? Because of the irregularity of my periods, its been hard to even track when I am ovulating. And more than a little frustrating, for DH too.

I am going to give it a few more days and if still nothing, and BFN, then I will call the doctor.

It just doesn't make sense to me.. Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Needing a Little Ray of Hope, Please?

I have been on Depo for 12 years solid; my DH and I have decided it's time to TTC. I am 26 and canceled my Depo appt the was scheduled on August 30; I know it's early. I have just heard so many horror stories about BC making you sterile after so long that now I am terrified and looking for some word of encouragement or possibly hoping that some one has been in my shoes before and had a positive outcome. Plus, if you could please tell me how long it took for you to both become regular again and conceive would be helpful too. Anyone out there that can give me just a little ray of hope; please???
