How to Download Data Report to Text File
MyMonthlyCycles has a variety of data reports for reviewing data in text format. A data report can be printed.
The data report can also be downloaded to a text data file on your computer, if supported by your browser/computer, as outlined in this FAQ.
Using PrintView
Most reports have a PrintView option, once the report is generated. If available, it is usually located just above or below the report.
Using PrintView (click/tap the link) is recommended before saving to a text file, since it removes most navigation elements on the report (such as menus/sidebars).
Accessing Data Reports
Reports are located on the Cycle History Menu, and MyMonthlyCharts Menu. Click or tap CHART on the top of any page for links to these Menus.
Download Report to Text File
This FAQ uses the Cycle History Report as an example data report to download.
Step 1 - Run Report
Using the Cycle History Report, you can select Custom Date Range. For From, you could use the first month/year of tracked data. For To, use most recent tracking month/year. Select all events.
Click Show History to generate report.
Step 2 - PrintView
Once report displays, click/tap PrintView to open a new window with just the report.
Step 3 - Save As Text File
Download the report of your tracked data to a text file on your computer's hard drive if your browser supports the Save As command. For example, Firefox browser has Save As to a text file. Once saved to a text file on your computer, you can use a text editor to open, if available on your computer. For example, Notepad on Windows.
Note that not all browsers support Save As. For example, Microsoft Edge no longer supports. And some browsers support Save As, but to html files not text files.
If you do not have a browser that can Save As to a text file, you can use Copy/Paste of the entire report, and then paste that into a text editor available on your computer, such as Notepad on Windows. Once pasted, save the text file to your computer. If you need help on Copy/Paste, you can use Google or your preferred search engine to find out "how to select entire webpage and copy/paste to notepad or text editor".
