Question
Can yeast infections be prevented?
Answer
Keeping cool and dry and not sitting in a wet bathing suit or workout clothes is one place to start.
If you are diabetic, keeping your blood sugars in good control helps. Prevention with acidophilus
oral tablets over the counter is very helpful. You can take a dose with each dose of antibiotic
you take for prevention, and if you get recurrent yeast, you can take a daily probiotic like
acidophilus for overall prophylaxis (preventive treatment).
