What does Gardasil protect me against?
Answer
Gardasil is a quadrivalent vaccine that protects against 4 types of HPV.
Types 6 and 11, also called 'low risk' HPV types that are responsible
for 90% of genital warts, and it protects against types 16 and 18, also called 'high risk'
HPV types, which are responsible for precancers and cancers of the cervix.
70% of cervical cancers are caused by types 16 and 18.
