Question

Who shouldn't take the Gardasil vaccine? Can men take?

Answer

Women who are allergic to yeast or aluminum should not take the vaccine. If you are pregnant you shouldn't get the vaccine, but if you accidentally get pregnant you don't have to terminate the pregnancy, as it should be safe for mother and baby. It is fine to have the vaccine while breastfeeding. You can take the vaccine if you have a cold, but if you are really sick, or taking other vaccines that day you should wait with the Gardasil for another time.

Can men take it?

The vaccine has not been approved in men. It is being studied, and in the future may be applicable.
