I'm Pregnant!
When you found out you were pregnant, how long did you wait until you told dad-to-be? How did you tell him and was he the first person you told? Did everyone react as you expected?

Whats Next???
We have been TTC since June. Last month i thought was the month. I was a week late (and i am never late) and took a hpt and there was a VERY faint 2 lines. I waited a few days and was going to take another but AF showed up. I was very heavy and very worried. I have never been that late or that heavy. This month I waited until 1 day after AF was supposed to arrive and to my surprise 2 VERY dark lines. I think that Im still in shock about it. I told the hubby first of course and then my best friend who lives out of state. I guess i will call the doctor in a few days to make an appt. I really just dont know where to go from here. We want to wait until at least 3mon before we tell anyone including family because you never know. Any advise..how long to wait before making dr appt ect???? Thanks :)

Can't wait!
Well, I haven't told anybody except Dad-to-be. I found out a week ago that we were pregnant right before I went to work. I took the preggo test two days after my missed period and was convinced I wasn't preggo but that I was stressed or just a couple days late. As soon as I saw that heavenly plus sign, I was in shock! Of course I was running late for work and I just didn't want to tell my husband, FYI we are going to have a kid in April and bye I am late for work. So I waited until he got home from work and we went on our walk we take in the evenings and we were talking about his friend and his friends girlfriend and how she is 7 weeks along and should have her baby early april, and I just couldn't hold it any longer and I turned to him and said "oh well that is the same month we will have ours". He had to take a second glance and said huh what???? And I told him I was due April 23rd and he was going to be a Daddy. He smiled the whole rest of the walk and hugged my about 25 times before we got home. Even though it has only been one week it feels like 5 weeks have past. I can't wait to meet with the birth centers once we have reached 11 or 12 weeks along!

BFP--Very Excited---But also nervous
Hi ya'll! My husband and I have been ttc for three months and last Sunday I took a hpt and it was a BFP! We are so excited, but at the same time I am feeling a little anxious. This is my first pregnancy, so I don't really know what to expect or if what I'm feeling is normal.

I've had several symptoms, sore/swollen breats, cramps, dizziness, and a little nausea. My symptoms aren't constant, like today my boobs feel less tender, but I'm still cramping, and still having dizzy spells.

Is it normal for your symptoms to come and go?

Am I crazy for feeling so anxious?

Does anyone else have these feelings?

We have our first DR's visit on the 20th, so until then I'm trying to relax and not let these thoughts bother me.

I'm Pregnant!
Stopped trying...am pregnant!
I've been TTC since November & recently decided to stop trying to get healthier. I'd had a faint positive a couple cycles that ended with terribly heavy periods (chemical pregnancies?). I'd been getting very frustrated because my cycles were completely whacky; the shortest cycle was 19 days with an 11 day period & the longest cycle was 34 days. Along with irregular cycles, I'd been experiencing extreme breast soreness in some of my cycles, which I read could be a sign of a hormonal imbalance.

After 8 cycles or so, I was frustrated, so I decided to stop trying & focus on my health. I've been pretty depressed the last two months thinking I was having a hormonal issue that prevented me from having a viable pregnancy. I told myself we'd start trying again in January 2011 after a few months of taking supplements.

I didn't start taking supplements right away like I'd planned because I needed a break from thinking about it all. This cycle, we barely did any BDing at all, just twice: once about 3 days after my period ended (another 11 day period btw...so frustrating) & then again on day 26, so when I got to day 40, I thought, "Great, my cycles are getting worse". Then day 42 came, & my husband & I began to wonder if I could actually be pregnant somehow. I didn't want to test yet because there had been so many cycles that I tested & then BOOM got my period the next day.

Finally, I bought the test before going to my Mother's for dinner. I was cooking the dinner & had a few minutes to test, so I did. I couldn't believe it when I saw the first line-the pregnancy line-show up boldly & then the control line followed quickly. I was stunned! I wasn't "trying" to get pregnant at all.

So keep the faith, just relax, & don't assume anything. The old adage "It happens when you stop trying" was absolutely true in my case, and I am SO happy that it was! My depression was instantly lifted the moment I saw that dark pink line. I feel so incredibly blessed right now. :) LOBD!
