Some things that may help
I find that taking a VERY hot shower helps, as well as heating a water bottle in the microwave and putting it under my back. Also, eating healthy foods (IE: plenty of veggies, yogurt, fruit, etc) helps me feel less lethargic. I tend to crave sugar, but find that it makes me feel worse because I usually overindulge.

Sense and Awareness
Until recently, I never had any noticeable PMS. Last year my cycles were all out of whack while I was away at school, and when I came back home I found that the weird cycles had my emotions all crazy, too. So I was introduced to the world of PMS. I had my first gynecological examination and learned that I have fibrocystic breast changes, which means that my breasts get tender for a couple of weeks before my period. Strangely, I had never noticed this until this month!

Anyway, I get tender breasts and labile emotions, but other than that I don't suffer too much from PMS. I find that if I am paying attention to my cycle and know what is going on I am better able to attribute my strange emotions to their cause (hormones) and thus minimize the discomfort this can cause for others by simply being aware of it.
