PCOS AND GLUCOPHAGE

Posted by: prayful on Mon Oct 12, 2009
I have had pcos for the past 6 years, that is when i was diagnosed. I have never had regular cycles had to take the pill. My gynae put on 500 mg glucophage (a.k.a. metformin) twice a day, which i have been taking for 6 years. I have heavy periods and alot of clotting. Clomid didn't help i didn't ovulate. We tried IVF and I fell pregnant on the 1st try but i had a miscarriage when i was 10weeks,it was devastating. Straight after the m/c i went back on Glucophage but this was another brand, surprisingly enough i got my period for the past 3 months regularly 33-35 days apart. Has anyone alse experienced the same and has anyone ovulated and falled pregnant on Glucpohage alone?
