Cycle Perplexities
Is your cycle misbehaving? Like your usual N-day menstrual cycle is all of a sudden longer or shorter, or you're spotting where AF should be here in full force, or PMS symptoms but no sign of AF? And has it got you thinking (...pregnant?), or generally confused or stressed or time to call the OB/Gyn? CycleView your cycle!

Different period than normal?

Posted by: lilmac on Wed Jun 2, 2010
I've had my period since I was 10... I'm now 22 years old and I can say for certain that my period's pretty regular. Regular in the sense that it lasts 4 to 5 days and the flow goes from light to heavy and to light again before it ends. Also it usually comes around the 35 day mark (a few more or less).

However last cycle it came at the 29th day and the blood was different. Darker, more clotty? The flow wasn't as heavy. I took a test, it was negative. So I relaxed and chalked it up to the stress of finishing school and all that came along with it. Now I've hit the 25 day mark of my new cycle and I had "spotting" (I don't know what spotting really means, but when I wiped (sorry for tmi) it came away pinkish. Something that would usually signal that my period is coming. 4 days later and the pinkishness has diminished but no period? I have no idea what's going on.

If it helps at all, I got a tattoo almost 3 weeks ago (shortly after my period finished). Could this period also be stress induced with weird effects? =(
