I don't like my period!

The bits of moodiness that I take out on the husband and kids. Also the constant back/pelvic aches.

I'll be 45 next month (6/30), and got my first period in June of 1975. Needless to say, I am QUITE used to my periods and cycles. At least, I WAS! Over the past few months, my periods have become increasingly heavy, longer-lasting, more clot-filled, darker, and almost -- strike that -- COMPLETELY unpredictable! I have already had TWO periods in the past month (April/May -- less than one full week between periods), and NEITHER occurred during my "inert" BC pills! The last two, especially, have been AWFUL, foul-smelling, disgusting, and impossible to manage. I've been fighting nausea with them for a while now, and this past one -- I actually threw up! It's become THAT sickening! I use a Diva Cup PLUS a maxi pad and stay IN BED, and I STILL leak after three hours (at my worst, which lasts forever). I've ruined so many of my clothes and underwear; it depresses me to even think about it.

I have an appointment with my gyno on May 29th (first opening), and have already "diagnosed" myself as needing an endometrial ablation. I've read about NOVASURE, which seems to be the E.A. of choice. My gyno performs those as well, thank heavens! But I am still nervous. It is not without risks. Anyone have any experience with endometrial ablation? Symptoms sounds familiar to anyone? Please share?!

Ihate the breath taking cramps i get!!! i faint sometimes oh yeah and i get sickness and the D word, just what you need when your period has come and youre running late for work!! god i hate periods

I hate shopping for menstrual supplies. Too many choices and just when I find something I like and works, it's not in stock or I'm in a different store and they don't have it. Then having to stand there in the aisle and read the box to make sure you're getting the right absorbency. Then on to the checkout line, makes me feel uncomfortable. Then having to pay good money for this. And, finally, ta-da, getting to wear my new acquisition.

I hate day 2 of my period. That's the combo deal of bloating and cramps and having to change feminine protection alot and worrying about leaks. If I'm at home it's not as bad, but at work it's always awful. That's why I try to plan it so day 2 hits on a Saturday, but my body doesn't usually cooperate LOL!
