When do you take a pregnancy test?
At what point during your cycle do you take a pregnancy test? If you are trying to conceive do you wait the Two Week Wait, or do you start testing earlier? Or, if you're not trying to conceive, how late are you when you start testing?

I wait until I am a week late to avoid being overly excited and upset and to save money

It is sooooooooo hard to wait...
I'm trying to conceive and now I'm on day 35 of my cycle, I took a test right on day 29 (a day after I was late) but the test came back negative :( I'm getting so worked up about seeing ALL of my friends get pregnant or deliver their second child and meanwhile it's been 5 months of trying w/ no results for us...Hopefully soon.

The untrue Pregnancy tests
I dont know about any of the readers but I waited 2 weeks after and got a negative result, waited 1 more week got the same result, finally I stopped taking the tests and still had the symptoms of pregnancy. finally a month later I had them take a blood test since I said I was either dying of food poisoning or was pregnant, and with the blood test it definately came out positve, but the urine came out negative still, I went to my OB/GYN and they told me I was 9 1/2 weeks, so dont believe everything you see on a pregnancy test, sometimes they are false even if they say they are 99% accurate."Yeah Right"

i say don't test too early
I say u shouldnt test earlier than the week of your expected period start date. Otherwise u may get a false positive or get a positive and get excited only to find that u had a chemical pregnancy that didnt stick

I WOULD AT LEAST WAIT UNTIL YOUR MISSED PERIOD TO TEST BECAUSE IF YOU DONT TIME THE OVULATION RIGHT YOU MISS THAT 12-24 HOUR WINDOW FOR CONCEPTION , BUT IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO TEST THE PT'S FROM THE 99CENT STORE WORKS JUST AS GOOD

When do you take a pregnancy test?
Im Late
Me and my husband have been trying to conceive since October but with no luck so far. My average cycle length is 27 days, and I am now on day 32, which makes me 5 days late. I did a test yesterday but got a negative result, going to wait a week before I do another. This happened back in December (36 days), but unfortunately, Aunt Flo was just delayed. Im trying not to get my hopes up, surely the test yesterday would have been a positive if I was :s
