When do you take a pregnancy test?
At what point during your cycle do you take a pregnancy test? If you are trying to conceive do you wait the Two Week Wait, or do you start testing earlier? Or, if you're not trying to conceive, how late are you when you start testing?

I test early. I can't seem to help myself. I buy the Dollar Tree brand for the early testing and if I get something resembling a positive like I did the last time, then I go for the more expensive brand, that way I'm not spending too much money. I always tell myself I'm going to wait until I'm actually late but somehow that never happens. Just knowing that I could know one way or the other makes me crazy and I cave usually around 8-9 days.

I feel the exact same way as you ladies. My husband and I have been trying for a little over a year. I am buying tests at the drop of a hat. I finally told myself that I was not going to buy another pregnancy test unless I was at least 5 days late. I hate getting disappointed too, but one thing I am sure of is that GOD will not withhold and good and perfect gift as a child. Many Blessings to all because I struggle with not getting pregnant too, but I continue to smile and stay hopeful.

I test too early
I had been testing too early, so right now I'm three days late and will wait an additional 5 as suggested. I have mixed feelings right now, I would love to have a child but am not 100%, but every time I get a negative I feel upset...do any of you feel that way? How do you cope?

Save yourself some grief!
Save the test for when you have symptoms to substantiate your hopes/fears and save yourself a lot of grief. My husband and I have been trying to concieve for over a year now. In the beginning I would run to the store any buy a test every time my boobs tingled, whether I was late or not. The repeated negatives were heartbreaking. Now I'm 10 days late and terrified to take a test for fear that it is going to be another negative.

spending a fortune on the tests
I spend way to much $$$ on these tests. I test 3 days prior to my expected period....just like the box says....never a positive though
