When do you take a pregnancy test?
At what point during your cycle do you take a pregnancy test? If you are trying to conceive do you wait the Two Week Wait, or do you start testing earlier? Or, if you're not trying to conceive, how late are you when you start testing?

beware the casually taken test!
I was about 3 days late - had had cramping etc and couldn't believe no a/f - so took one almost randomly - and ka-boom. "BFP". Stunned!

My Opinion on HPTing early...
I always waited until I was late.I had my last baby 6 years ago so I don't think the REALLY sensitive tests were available yet.I think the problem with testing too early..before AF is supposed to arrive..is that not all women who test will get a + yet and then there are women who may pick up chemical pregnancies only to have AF start a few days later.We are TTC and I will admit I have tested early but I think ,especially if you are having trouble, it can lead to a lot of anxiety,I know it has at times for me.

I am the worst...last month I took a test every other day!! I became super obsessed, and was not pregnant!

Patience is a virtue.....
Personally for me, I try to not to take a pregnancy test until after a/f is missing. That way I'm not disappointed with the BFN. IT's so much easier that way. I hate to see a BFN and then have a/f show up. It's just so much better for me to be patient, and cheaper!!!

THE SOONER THE BETTER
I THINK THE SOONER I KNOW THE BETTER. SO I START TO TAKE THE PREGNANCY TEST 5 DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD..TO ME THE SOONER I KNOW IS IF I CAN HAVE MY RUM AND COKE OR NOT....

Time to test
I have usually waited until I missed my period to test for pregnancy. That's usually the most accurate time. So yes waiting the two weeks is best. Right now my husband and I are TTC and I plan on testing early. About 5 days early. Up until I either get my period or a test comes back positive.
