Paragard

I chose Paragard because the fact that it has no hormones. I wanted an IUD to begin with but BC hormones make me crazy. I have had longer cycles since I started and now my periods last on an average of 8-10 days but most of those days are just spotting so it doesn't bother me. I've never had cramps from it. I had no problems getting it put in and I didn't have excessive bleeding or cramping afterwards. For me it was the perfect choice.

Persona Contraceptive monitor

I have just started using Persona contraceptive monitor after being on the POP for about 4 years. Glad to say my periods came back really quick after stopping BC. Think it will be a good way to track my cycles, but not many people use it, anyone else out there had positive/negative experience with Persona?

Mirena for me

I've decided to go along with the Mirena IUD/IUC...I'm waiting on the call from my gyn (the insurance co. has to approve them, give them the ok) then I can fill the Rx for it and have it inserted. They said they'll do it about day 5-7 of my cycle (aunt flo should arrive next week)...hopefully i'll get that call and Rx filled b4 aunt flo shows...can't wait to not have to worry/think about "accidently" gettign pregnant...
anyone using Mirena now? how are you liking it?

Au Naturel

I'm all for NFP. This site makes it so easy, too! The whole world seems to be "going green", and all about organics and all naturals. So why do we keep putting these chemicals into our bodies? Only now are we starting to realize what a few decades of hormonal contraceptives have done to our bodies, as more and more women have to turn to fertility drugs. Our bodies are such incredible machines, even when they seem to be malfunctioning, as compared to a textbook model. Taking the time to learn and work with your body and its own quirks and intricacies is so worth it.

Birth Control Pill for me

I've been on the pill since I was 18. I becames active at 17 and we were careless about using condoms (sometimes we would and sometimes we wouldn't use them). I wanted more control over my body and decided that it would be best if I got birth control. It also helped regulate my periods which I love.
