Cycle Perplexities

Is your cycle misbehaving? Like your usual N-day menstrual cycle is all of a sudden longer or shorter, or you're spotting where AF should be here in full force, or PMS symptoms but no sign of AF? And has it got you thinking (...pregnant?), or generally confused or stressed or time to call the OB/Gyn? CycleView your cycle!

Missed period - when to expect next?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out when to expect my next period.

I used to be very irregular and then lost a good deal of weight and my periods normalized. I tracked them here for a year and they were pretty consistent give or take a few days (around 33 CD mark). I am not on any BCP.

This period, though, I seem to have skipped. I never felt any of my normal symptoms the days leading up to when I would usually start. I am on CD 45 and no signs yet. I got a negative home pregnancy test but my cycle never showed so I went to my GP a few days ago. He gave me another pregnancy test and it was negative, but he detected that I had a bladder infection. I've been on an antibiotic for it since. He also sent off some preliminary bloodwork and a referal to check for PCOS given a few other symptoms I presented with.

That said, is there any way to predict when my period will show up or will I be "pleasantly" surprised?

Thank you!!

unusual cycle

Hi there, newbie here. My cycle has been irregular since stopping the pill in Oct 09. TTC 1st, 44 yrs old in oct. Using CBFM to track fertility. My period has always lasted 6-7 days for the the past 18 cycles, this cycle lasted just 3 1/2 days. 1st day light bleed, 2nd day heavier, 3rd day stopped completely then 4 days very very light brown flow?? very odd. CBFM didnt pick up LH surge this month so DH and I have been BD every 2-3 days until this 'period' started. I've had sore nipples for about a week but this has now gone, feel tired all the time, and nauseous for first few hours in a morning, I've also felt like I've been coming down with the flu or something, aching arms and legs and a headache like a head cold for the last 3 days. I'd love to think I was finally pregnant but don't want to get my hopes up

Weird light spotting days after period...

My period lasted 5 to 6 days.. and 5 days after I experienced slight pain in my right ovary about an hr later I went to the bathroom and saw strand of blood in my cm.. I track my cm but I was basically dry for some time so I don't know if the pain in my ovary indicates ovulation at this moment..

Has anyone experienced the slight pain in the ovary and slight bleeding after? I am curious to see what others have experienced.. it hasn't been 24 hrs of bleeding and it is only there when I wipe like a thin strand in my cm could it be ovulation?

Thanks in advance.

Short Period

My cycle is always very normal every 28 days and lasts for 6 days. This month it came as expected right on time but only lasted for 2 days, this has never happened. I have not been on birth control for years and the person that I have been with for a while have not been using protection. The flow has not been very heavy or very light. Has anyone else had this problem or may know what it may mean?

No period, Not pregnant and scared!

I've always have pretty regular cycles, until this year! Stopped my BC in Dec 2010 and had the breakthrough bleeding. No period in Jan or Feb, but had a normal cycle lasting 5 days in March; and I haven't had a period since. It's now June and still nothing. I get the occasional light spotting but it's random. I went to my OBGYN a little over 2 wks ago and she said I'm too young to have any problems and to not worry about it.I'm 27. She thinks it's just a slight hormone imbalance and to be greatful that I'm not having my period every month. I had a pap and blood pregnancy test at my appointment. Haven't heard anything from my pap, but pg test was neg. A little history for you: I have had 2 normal pregnancies and 1 not normal. In 2007 I had a baby; In 2009 I had a missed abortion and needed a d&c; In 2010 I had a baby. Both of my full term pregnancies I got preeclampsia, but the babies were fine and healthy.
We want to try for another child, so my OBGYN said if I'm not pregnant by Oct then I am to go back to her and she will perscribe me Clomid.
This is all so weird for me to be going through. Just wondering if anyone else has been through this and if maybe anyone thinks something else may be going on.
Thanks for your support!!

Negative tests, late period

My last period was May 3, 2011. I've had very regular periods this year averaging every 25-27 days. I am currently 6 days late for my period. I've taken 3 pregnancy tests, one was day before period due, and one at late day 4, and one today at late day 6. My fiance and I were trying to conceive all last month. Should I wait and test at the end of this week or should I go ahead and schedule a doctor's appoinment for a blood test?
