Conception Frustrations?
If you're trying to conceive and it's taking longer than you had hoped, what frustrations are you running into? Is it that just about everyone around you seems to be pregnant? Or, something someone said? Or, is you-know-who (your mom, his mom...) pressuring you or asking when way too often? Does it sometimes feel like TTC is more like Trying to Cope?

Post Tubual Reversal

Posted by: TheresafromOhio on Wed Oct 24, 2007
I have also just had a tubual reversal and unfortunantly you won't know if it worked until you get pregnant. What my doctor mentioned is he is giving us 6 months and if I'm not pregnant then we will do a HSG (hystosalpingogram) which is done in x-ray and they inject dye into the uterus to see if the fallopian tubes are open. Unfortuantly for us they were only able to fix one of my tubes, and the doctor isn't even very confident on that side. I had my tubes burned and cut so the scar tissue was bad, and he's not sure what will happen with only one side fixed. So that's a downer. He was giving us 80% but he dropped it to 50%, which I guess is better then nothing. As my mom said, "Everyone has 50% chance of getting pregnant, you have sex and you either get pregnant or you don't". So atleast in the beginning of trying that's what I have to laugh at until hopefully something happens. What is discouraging to me, is when my doctor says you should have just had IVF. Well at $10,000 to $25, 000 we just can't afford it. But after we've paid for the surgery, out of pocket, it's frustrating to hear.
