Feminine Protection Usage
What was the first type of feminine protection you used - pads, tampons, menstrual cup? Do you still use the same feminine protection, or did you switch completely - when, why?
DivaCup all the way!

Unlike many people who started with pads and later moved on to tampons, tampons were the only option for me from the beginning. I was older than most when I first started menstruating so I was well informed and more mature about the "putting a tampon in" deal. That plus the fact that my first period arrived the day before a championship swim meet lead me quickly into the realm of tampons. I used tampons during the day and pads at night for about six years until recently when I heard about the DivaCup. I've used it for a couple of cycles now and though it still takes me a couple of minutes to remove, wash, and re-insert, the small amount of extra time is nothing compared to the security and convenience of 12 leak free hours of protection. I know I must sound like an infomercial but it is truly the best period purchase I have ever made.
