I'm Pregnant!
When you found out you were pregnant, how long did you wait until you told dad-to-be? How did you tell him and was he the first person you told? Did everyone react as you expected?

Daddy found out first... when he had the chance!

With our first 2 children, my hubby (then-fiance with #1) was with me.
The first time, we couldn't even wait till we got home. We bought the test at the pharmacy in the mall, where we'd been doing some early Christmas shopping, and then I used the mall restroom while he waited outside in the hall. We still joke that the one on the end is "my" stall.

The second time, my hubby (who was active-duty Army then) was getting ready to leave for a field training exercise. We wanted to find out before he left, and I was already 5 days late, so I tested. He was downstairs on the couch with our daughter when I came down with a big smile on my face!

For #3, I tested the day before he left for Iraq and it came out negative. I figured it was just the stress of him leaving that was making my period late (8 days at that point). The week after he left AF still hadn't showed, so I tested again, and got a BFP! We hadn't been trying, in fact I'd been on the pill, so it was a total surprise. He was in transit to his base, so it took 3 days before I got to tell him.
We had already discussed him not taking R&R and letting the other guys who really needed the leave take the time. We felt like it would be just one more goodbye, so we both decided it would be better to let him take it right at the end, if at all. There were 3 other guys in his unit whose wives were expecting, so I emailed him and said something like, "Hi honey! Hey, talk to X, Y, and Z, maybe you guys can get some kind of group discount for tickets home! CALL ME!!" He didn't get the hint!! I started crying when he called, and I finally croaked out, "I'm pregnant!" He was quiet for a second (I was scared he was upset or disppointed), and then he said, as happy as could be, "REALLY?!?!" I was so relieved!
