Painkillers vs. Vitamins

Posted by: SaraPlate on Fri May 9, 2008
I have very severe cramps, bloating, migraines, aches and pains all over, and break outs a week before. I normally deal with my issues with Motrin (works quick and long, does amazing things for bloating). My doctor prescribes me Vicodin for my migraines and well migraines and periods go hand in hand for me so I noticed that it made the cramps go away (but none of the other symptoms). I used to switch between the two all the time up until a few months ago when a guy friend of mine suggested vitamins. I've recently tried to not rely on my Vicodin so much for obvious reasons. I now take vitamin pills right before my periods starts or right after and the difference is freakishly amazing! Vitamin pills high in Vitamin B and Zinc work the best and also curb hunger and eliminates bloating, cramps, and most of the time acne. I highly recommend herbal treatment for cramps because too many chemicals in your body can hurt you more than it helps.
Also heating pads are wonderful for relieving back pain and mild cramps.
