Get A Second Opinion

CountlessLies, I am so sorry to hear that. I can tell you that I have endometriosis and the only way they were able to diagnose it was through laparoscopic surgery. I started having problems when I was 12 and was put on birth control at 13. Turns out, I'm allergic to birth control, whole other situation, but needless to say it didn't work for me. They did the surgery when I was 20, and treated it by lasering off the excess endometrium and then gave me 2 shots over a 6 month period that put me into menopause temporarily for the majority of the year I was 21. I can honestly say that it sounds like you need a second opinion. Maybe you can find a Gynocologist that has worked with Endometriosis and things like that prior to you and your visit. I can tell you that my cramping can sometimes be crippling. I don't take pills, so I am a lightweight and my doctor gave me a prescription for Loritabs. They are the only thing that works. I have been so much better the past few years. I am 28 now and the bad months are FAR more irregular. The other alternative was to have a baby and that wasn't something I wanted to do at that age. It is also hereditary. None of the women in my family ever told me they had it, but my doctor did the surgery anyway because he was out of options. It took me numerous doctors to get someone who even told me about endometriosis let alone to finally find out what was wrong withe me and that I wasn't making it up in my head. Come to find out, my grandmother on my father's side had it. Try to research your family history. It's not a guarantee, but it might help. I don't know if my life experiences can help, but I hope that I can in some way.
