I had a total of 6 yeast infections this year alone. Or what I thought was a yeast infection. I went to my primary care physican each time and this last few times were so bad, that i went to an ob/gyn. I was told you have bacteria vaginosis.. WHat in the world if that? So i googled it and did a lot of research. Its is an over growth of bacteria, the good and bad bacteria are trying to find the body natural ph level. The doctor treated me with metronidazole gel (Metrogel. the first treatment helped, but it came back, with a vengence. SO i had to use it a second time. It appears to have worked. So anyone who has this diagnosis, the gel works and easies the discomfort. Oh take plenty of baths, just sit and it also helps with the discomfort an order. And this is not a sexual transmitted disease, its just very nasty and uncomfortable
