TTC or Not after a recent miscarriage

I just had a miscarriage a little over a week ago at 12 wks pregnant. I am still very devastated over the loss. I have two sons 11 and 3 and was hoping for a daughter this time around. The doctor told us today that the miscarriage is complete and if we are going to ttc again then I need to start taking my vitamins again but to wait a couple of months to give my body ample time to heal and the uterus to build back up. I'm SO afraid to try again for it to end the same way, but I really want to have another baby.
