9 days late & afraid to test

With my previous pregnancies it was completely effortless. This time hubby & I have been trying to conceive on & off for more than a year. AF has always been 29-32 days (never more than 3 days off)but this month I'm on CD 41, meaning that I'm 9 days late. I have no symptoms which isn't unusual because I had none in the past. I'm so praying for a BFP but I'm afraid to test for fear of another major disappointment. Anyone else in the same boat? Should I test or wait it out a little longer?
