ttc for nearly 4 months feel....like miss my chance

hi i had an abortion (for medical reasons) on 22nd april this year and have been ttc again ever since it now 8th august and still hasnt happened, my 1st two periods after were exactly 26days same as before i was pregnant but my last cycle lasted 37days and this month i have came on on day 24! any ideas as to why periods are irregular after been normal? anyone no if there is any reason why i am not falling pregnant or could it just still be to soon....i am beginning to think its never going to happen and that i have missed my chance last time.
