Hopeful about our IUI - waiting sucks!

My husband and I have been TTC in earnest for the last three months, but we haven't used birth control in a year. I've done Clomid, had an HSG test, and then injectables, and I just had my first IUI yesterday. I'm 40, and my husband has low morphology issues, so we're hoping this works and thinking positively, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. The next couple of weeks waiting to find out if we were successful is going to be excruciating! I guess that's the worst part for everyone though - the waiting, wondering at every twinge and tickle if that was a sign of early pregnancy or just indigestion. I think the one thing my husband and I are trying to do through all of this is take care of each other, take care of ourselves and our relationship. This isn't easy, but we'll get through it together. The other thing I'm keeping in mind is that I'm excited about my life with my husband and looking forward to what life has in store for us regardless of whether there's a child involved. We would love to have kids, but if it's not meant to be, we still have each other, which is a pretty awesome thing.
