Hi Ladies,
So I need to vent... a couple of weeks ago I had to have some blood work done to make sure I am not a carrier of certain genes from my background. I thought for sure I would be fine, but yesterday I got the news that I tested positive as a carrier for 1 of the genes. The one I tested positive for is actually a very common.
My Dr. told us to not try this cycle and to have my husband tested as well. If he has a positive reading we are then sent on to a genetic counselor. I am hoping his is negative , but will have to wait and see. He goes next week for his testing and we should have the results in 2 weeks. So now not only do we have to wait to try , but to also find out the results.
I am upset know that I shouldn't be so down , but I was excited to begin trying this time around. I just hope that he is not a carrier and we can go on and TTC. Wish us luck:)
