TTC #4. Shettles for girl, Ovulation Microscope?

Hi everyone! I am new to this chat. I have been using this website to track my monthly cycles for some time now, but had stopped for little over a year because I had the Mirena IUD in place and had no periods for that time. Now my husband and I have had the IUD removed (in early January)and are TTC baby #4! We have three little boys aged 6, 4, and 18 months, and are trying the Shettles Method for a baby girl this time around. According to my calendar, I will be ovulating in 2 days, so DH and I BD yesterday and the day before (3-4 days before ovulation according to Shettles). I have also been using an Ovulation Microscope to chart the exact dates, all though I can't say it was reliable last month, all though this month it seems to be pretty dead-on. I have been feeling symptoms of ovulation (sore breasts, pain in ovaries)and have started the "ferning" phase of my saliva last night. Has anyone else used the Shettles method for conceiving a girl, or the Ovulation Microscope for that matter? I have also been using the ovulation kits that you pee on, and they have not shown any ovulation at all, even when the microscope shows ferning patterns. I'm confused with them.
