Cycle Perplexities
Is your cycle misbehaving? Like your
usual N-day menstrual cycle is all of a sudden
longer or shorter, or you're spotting where AF should be here in full force, or
PMS symptoms but no sign of AF? And has it got you thinking (...pregnant?), or
generally confused or stressed or time to call the OB/Gyn?

Frustrated Beyond Belief

So, the DH and I have been TTC for 8 months with no luck so far. I previously had been on a slew of different birth control pills for many, many years. The first two months after stopping the pills AF was normal, came at the same time both months for the same amount of time, no problems. Well then the wedding happened and things got screwed up. Started spotting during the third week of my cycle, of course it started on the wedding night, uggh. And so for the last six months this has become the norm. Two weeks on, two weeks off. I start spotting during the third week and then generally around the same time every month the real thing starts, though I have no way of knowing when AF actually starts because I'm spotting too much, which makes tracking my actual cycle very, very, very challenging. I am beyond frustrated with this cycle of things. I went to the GYN and she basically told me that I was doing it to myself, ie stressing about TTC, which is really unhelpful. She gave me three options to try to regulate it: Induce a really heavy period (not fun sounding), go back on BC for a few months (totally the opposite from what we are trying for), or wait three months to see if things "work themselves out" and if not go back for one of the other options. Why can't this just be as easy as it seems for everyone else around me? Why does it seem every time I turn around someone else if preggers? I am just at my wits end with the entire thing....
