How to deal with a miscarriage?

Posted by: chalan03 on Sun May 15, 2011
My husband and I decided to try to have our last child two years ago. We had no luck and a few months ago we decided to just give up. After all we do have three children our youngest is 7. However, in early April I found out I was pregnant, and we were both so excited I took 3 tests to make sure. Quite few of my friends are also pregnant so it seemed just perfect. I decided to wait to tell my other children and friends until I had atleast gone for my first checkup. On May 2 I went in for my first visit and had a sono everything was great baby was about 7wks 3days and had a good heart beat. That same day we took our daughters out for dinner and shared the news they were ecstatic. I shared the news on facebook with friends. On May 10 I began spotting, I was a bit nervous but not too scared I called the dr. who had me come in. She checked and explained that spotting and even cramping was normal. She said everything seemed fine. She sent me for an ultrasound for precaution and it was then I was told the most devastating news I had ever heard. My baby's heart was no longer beating. My baby had past away. Something we wrong one from one Monday till the next. I just had a d/c yesterday. My dr also recommended me to wait a couple of months before we try again. I do want to try again but I'm so scared I don't think I could go through this pain again. As it is I'm having a hard time, being in public. Does the pain ever go away?
