Has this ever happened when you ovulate?

So this month I kind of threw out the thermometer and everything and just went with doing the BD whenever and see if it works. I knew I would be ovulating around the 3rd-the 4thish, so we BD on the 2nd in the morning, because the DH wouldn't be home around my actual ovulation.
Anyway, all day on the 2nd I felt fine, and today after I got up I felt cramping, and bloating and uncomfortable all day long. Plus when I went to the washroom, I had the super stretchy egg white mucous like crazy!
Does anyone think that I could have ovulated a smidge earlier and it actually worked? I NEVER get bloaty, even during AF. Has anyone ever bloated or felt like crap when they ovulated?
