TTC After Birth Control
Did you recently -- or some time ago -- come off birth control to TTC? What birth control were you using? Have your periods/cycles returned to your normal? Are you waiting a few months, or trying right away?
TTC first time after being on BC 15+ years

I just stopped BC beginning of Aug 2011 and had been on it for 18 years straight (docs had no issues with this). The withdrawal was horrible, fatigue, headaches, etc (but am so happy I did because I didn't realize how crappy it was making me feel all these past years). TTC since Sept 2011 (doc said I didn't have to wait 3 months like some recommend). Periods are averaging 34 to 36 day, and the flow is heavy, but appear to be normal. Before BC, I was irregular (every 18 to 60 days) but not anymore. Discovered in Nov & Dec 2011 I'm ovulating around every 22-23 days thru use of the OPK. Hoping I get a pos preg test this week. If not, I got those FSH test strips. Doc said to try for 6 months before I go in for tests. I highly recommend the OPK test strips for anyone coming off of BC because the 'average' ovulation of 14 days doesn't pertain to some of us and I had to test almost every day for 2 months to find out when I was ovulating (also using ferning microscope but a little hard to read at times) I'm hoping that if no baby this month, that the powers that be are on our side soon.
