Period coming on vacation

I hope someone can help me. I am going to Walt Disney World in two weeks and our first full day at the Park I am suppose to start. I normally start at anytime of the day. Once I start I am planning to use tampons but until then what should I do? Can I put a tampon in before I start, is there a panty liner anyone can recommend? I think it will be to hot to walk around with a pad on for no reason.

I would be so thankful for any advice.
