Along with symptoms that make you think you're pregnant where you can't decide: am

Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago. I don't have cysts and have regular cycles. I have not started any treatment yet as I am waiting to do the HSG test (X-ray of uterus with dye). I was told to come after my next period but it's not coming!
I've taken 2 pregnancy tests--first one 6 weeks after 1st missed period, second one when second cycle was due to start because of unusual symptoms--cramping, discharge and sort-of constipated feeling??
I want to avoid getting my hopes up that a miracle happened. All my searches are finding people with similar symptoms but few people posting the outcome. Has anyone had such symptoms and found it was something other than pregnancy? Is this just another way to frustrate those of us who are really hoping to conceive?!
Will give myself a week, do one more HPT, then go to the doctor. I'll let you know what happens!
