No Periods, Less Periods
Period suppression is currently a very hot topic. Will you (or do you already) take prescription meds to stop your period, or to have less periods a year? Why or why not?

No Periods, Less Periods
Less Periods...
Something to think about... I mean, less periods would be nice but also what are the side effects. Should we just leave them as they naturally are?

No Periods, Less Periods
I Already Have:)
Yes i would stop my period infact im already doing it:) I didnt plan to stop my period its just a sideffect of a Mirena IUD (hormonal IUD device)and since July i have only had a total of 3 periods. I feel like i've been liberated! My GYN told me that i dont need a period unless im trying to conceive. I already have a child. I see nothing wrong with stopping your periods. After all, most of ancestors menstruated alot less than us because they either breastfed and stayed pregnant most of their lives.

Will not do anything unatural to my body
No, I will not take anything or do anything that is not natural to my body.I think the reason there's so much health problems is because people are living more and more unaturally. The body has its functions why alter it? In my opinion this type of thing always causes more problems in the long run.

No Periods, Less Periods
no way...
I don't like the idea of altering my body's natural chemistry. Unless there's something medically wrong with you I wouldn't mess with nature for the convience of less periods.

No Periods, Less Periods
Nature Knows Best
My views on this topic have changed in the past few years. I used to be on the depo shot. When I was 18 I came off it it because of my sister. She had been on it for about 3 years when she and her husband decided to start trying for a family. She finally got pregnant abuot 6 months after she had her last shot. Six weeks into her pregnancy she lost the baby. Two months later she became pregnant again. Once again 6 weeks into her second pregnancy she lost baby number 2. Shortly after she lost the second baby we had been talking about the depo shot and how some people say the shot can have that effect, so I decided to come off of it. When I did, I became pregnant very quickly, but unfortunately 8 weeks in I also lost my baby. With me I'm not sure if it was because of the depo shot or because I had 3 polyps in my uterus, either way I don't think I would ever alter my body like that again.
PS my sister finally did have a sucessfull pregnancy about a year later, I have not tried again

No Periods, Less Periods
YES!!! I would stop my periods
I would definitely take something to stop my periods. I'm 28 and have never been on birth control and am not sure if I want children yet.
It's so coincidental that each and every time I have a vacation planned I get my period. If I could change this I would.
Periods are a part of life and if it was so dangerous to stop them they would not have so many different methods to cease them or skip them.
