Chocolate Pretzels and Exercise
Heat works wonders, and so does chocolate, especially chocolate covered pretzels. But the best is exercise. Not running 5 miles or anything crazy like that, but walking around for 5 minutes really does help me.

FEMINAX!! xx
Tea, Feminax tablets - they are a wonder!, comfy PJ's, hot water bottle and a chick flick. Although, this only really works at the weekend when I don't have a job to go to.
At work, again, I take Feminax, and rock very slightly in my chair - just enough to massage my lower stomach.

cramps
i'm a busy person, i'm always either working or for the past year doing wedding stuff.
i find when i'm on the go heat pads are great, and when i do get to relax a hot waterbottle and a cuddle work wonders. and when i can't have a cuddle curling up into a ball helps to relieve the pain.

Cramps
In this order: A good old moan, lots of chocolate, hot water bottle and/or bath, big fluffy blankets, tactile sleeping positions and not eating large meals, just picking at food during the day.

accupuncture/moxibustion for cramps
I went to get acupuncture yesterday because it always help with my menstrual cramps. Yesterday I was having the heaviest and most painful day of my cycle :(
My acupuncturist used moxibustion (or moxa) to heat up the area to generate warmth and bloodflow. It is basically a stick made out of herbs that is burning and the Dr. puts it over certain accupuncture points above your uterus/ovaries. You can google it for more info. My cramps calmed down a lot and when I got home I passed a few big clots. He said this might happen because the moxibustion encourages the uterus to get everything out. Sorry if this is TMI but I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this or tried it? It was very calming and warm..i immediately felt relief.
I feel great today.
