Endometriosis, Heavy Periods, Fibroids...

Just needed to vent, could use some advice!!

Hi everyone, I am 26 years old and have been struggling with stage 3 Endo and multiple right ovarian cyst. When I was 18 I ended up with a cyst on my left ovary that got so big I had a torsion and ended up losing my left tube and:-S ovary. :'(. After that they told me there was a possibility I would need help conceiving. Fortunately I have been blessed with two beautiful angels. But now everything has gotten so much worse. Within the last year I had two surgeries to remove right ovarian cyst and to try and get rid of some of the Endo. No such luck. It has gotten so bad my OB/GYN said no more surgeries if I want a third baby. He said its 50/50 right now. He said he can't give me false hope but he also can't take hope away from me. Because the only tube I have is stuck to the back of my pelvic wall by Endo tissue and ha a slight dip. He said everything in there looks like a sticky mess. He said no more unless its to tie tubes or hysterectomy. He said just to get rid of the Endo I would come out more than likely with a partial or complete hysterectomy. After this last surgery about two weeks later I ended up in the ER with severe pain. After a CT scan they thought I had an access. Once my doc went into look it was actually a chunk of Endo tissue that grew back and was inflamed. I have been hospitalized 4 times this year because of pain, heavy bleeding and ruptured ovarian cyst. Any ideas on what I should do next. I am just really trying to hold out for my third child. And needed to vent. Have an appt with a fertility doc next month if it doesn't happen this month. Thank for listing to me vent and any comments appreciated, god bless!!

Tired of DR's not listening

Hi all,

I've always had troubles with my period, as far back as I can remember. Heavy painful periods at first. Eventually in 2001 the doctor did a laparascopy and found that I had sever endometriosis I was 17 years old at that stage. 3 months later I went back, and they did another laparascopy after saying its impossible to have endometriosis again, there is was, again sever endometriosis. Between 2001 and 2003 I had 4 laporoscopies each time they burnt of endometriosis.

I'm turning 27 in a weeks time, and my husband and I have been TTC for a year and a half now. I had my last laporoscopy in 2003, and for some reason, no one wants to do a laparoscopy now, I've been having heavy painful periods again.... and I just dont know what to do anymore. Going to see a new gyn on friday.

Do you think I should insist on having a laporoscopy done?

Weird Symptoms. Drs don't know whats up.

I hope I am posting this in the right place. I haven't had a regular period since March/April of this year (2010). They are now anywhere from 35-60 day cycles. I have also been having breakouts like never before (large, painful pimples) and have dark hairs growing on my breasts. Attractive, right?
The Drs called today and ruled out PCOS. However, I do have a fibroadenoma, but the drs say its not related in anyway to my other symptoms.
I am reaching out to you all to see if anyone has any ideas, as it appears my drs are simply giving up.
Thanks.

Can u teach an old dog new tricks? Pads to tampons

Having a heavy and long period has consumed my life. I spend at least two weeks of the month with it. More than with my partner and I is completely irritated. Here lately I have started to become so heavy I am going through overnight pads during the day at least twice. My doctor recommended I try tampons and use a regular pad instead of a pantyliner?! I am in the process of trying it now, I have never been so confused! I don't know when i should change it or what to do when i have to go to the bathroom. This is what i get for waiting so long to try them. However, It has helped with the bleeding through my clothes issue. Can anyone tell me how this tampon thing is suppose to work?

Long Periods, TTC

TTC while having periods that last more than 8 days (I'm including spotting in this time frame, and getting my period almost every 15-19 days so its like getting 2 periods in one month. I'm on day 14 and my periods have never been like this. (ultra sound showed no pregancy so I know its not that). This all started like 8 months ago, the long periods. My doctor ran tests; hormone, thyroid, blood count and it all came back normal and she don't seem to think anything wrong. (I don't believe her). Was diagnosed with endometriosis 10 years ago but I'm healed, no signs of cysts or anything on the ultrasound. I'm 35 yrs old. Doc said the pill would correct the period part but that don't help when I'm TTC. Was told it could take a year for the pill to get out of my system. She want me to go to a fertility place and my insurance won't cover any of it.
