No Periods, Less Periods
Period suppression is currently a very hot topic. Will you (or do you already) take prescription meds to stop your period, or to have less periods a year? Why or why not?

No Periods, Less Periods
Sometimes its ok
Sometimes our own bodies dont ovulate which inturns doesnt allow a period to happen. For me if you have a big day coming up like prom or wedding and you want to skip your period that month i see it as being perfectly fine but to completely stop your period is just wrong.

No Periods, Less Periods
periods are important,period.
Periods are a very important part of being a woman. It's the bodys natural cleaning system---who knows what kind of problems may pop up when we cease to have periods. The scarry thing is that we may not find out the true side effects for many years -- cancer?. No one likes their period, but I don't think it's a good idea.

No Periods, Less Periods
Infrequent periods for me = polycysitc ovaries
After 10 years on the pill I came off at Christmas 2006 (a year ago). Since then I have only had 3 periods (it's now Dec 07) and as you can guess have not had any joy in getting pregnant. I have recently been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries (just the cysts, not the syndrome) and am waiting for an appt with the gyno for ovulation medication...
So, to me... no / infrequent periods is bad news...
It's ironic, I spent my whole late teens / early 20's trying not to get pregnant by controlling my periods through birth control then when I want to I can't!!

No Periods, Less Periods
Oh Yeah baby! But...
When I was in my 20's and early 30's, my body used to skip periods. Twice, once or none what so ever per year. But when I had my period it was hell, 10 days plus and heavy bleeding. My doctor never found a thing wrong with me other than a thin endometrium. I know my hormones had to be all messed up or my stress levels where up to the roof! The thing is that I was used to be menstruation free and now since I turned 35, OH DEAR LORD, its like clock work every 28 days or so and 7 to 8 days periods... It's been 5 yrs of resignation ever since... So if I had the courage to take hormones to get less menstrual periods I would do it in a second!

I am in total agreement. God gave us periods and even though we don't actually understand it all He knows best. I actually thank God every time that I get it. It denotes me being a woman and it is also part of the reproduction process.

Thank God for Periods
No, I don't agree with have no or lesser periods. having a Period was what denotes woman hood. It's a natural body process, and the Lord made it that way for a reason. There are alot of women out there that would LOVE to have more periods. Yes, it;s annoying and painful, and just downright makes you miserable at times, but it's also what makes us WOMEN.
Thank God for Periods.!!!
