So Long Period Stains
Who hasn't had a period stain or two along the way? From undies to fav jeans, period stains can be a royal pain. But happily they're often non-fatal and can be mostly/completley removed.
What period stain removal strategies have you tried and what works best for you?

Meat tenderizer and Peroxide
I was taught too run the blood stained garment under cold water, then pour meat tenderizer on it. Let it sit a minute and then pour hydrogen peroxide on it. After that, rub the garment with another piece of cloth. Not your fingers.(You might get some of your natural oils from your hands on it and it'll take longer to get out.) After that, rinse with cold water and throw it in the laundry. Then, Ta-dah! Good as new.

Try Ice
I like to use Ice Cubes. Sounds funny but it works really well. I have used it on my sheets and clothes. Sometimes it takes a few minutes but the coldness of the ice brings the blood right out. I like the peroxide method, can't believe I've never heard of that and will try it. I guess I like the ice because it's just water and I know it won't hurt the fabric.

Milk....Does Panties Good
When you don't have peroxide or Oxi-Clean, which seem to be the favorites, my grandmother used to use milk. It works like a charm. The proteins in the milk break down the blood. Just soak the stained part in some COLD milk, rub out the stains and toss in the laundry.

Removal w/ Peroxide
I have to agree with Dia08. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage in Nov. The physician performed the D&C right on the table and I was WIDE awake. When you are in pain you are not thinking about the blood ruining a perfectly hand-beaded camisole t-blouse. Needless to say, the bottom half of my blouse was soaked with blood. She told me to take it off immediately and she poured peroxide. It begin to foam and she rinsed it out in cold water. There was not a trace of blood left at all.

Stain Removal
The best way that I have used to get stains out it that you get a bowl and fill it with water and add a little bit of bleach and soak it for a little while then the stain comes out... of course this only works when you have white underwear on, otherwise you will get bleach stains on your colored underwear.
