When Did You Decide Baby Names?

We named our son in the hosptial in the middle of labor. We had tossed quite a few around after finding out the sex, but none stuck. Finally after being admitted to the hospital I tossed the baby name book at my husband and said "I highlighted all the ones I like, pick one." He flipped through it while a friend and I walked the floor and he came out of the room and said, "I like Christian Lee." That was what our son was named 5 hours later.

My Dh and i decided baby names as soon as we found out the sex of the baby. We found my DD name in a babybook(Madysan).

When my husband John and I found out we were going to be parents we ran out to the store to pick up a baby name book. When we got home we both picked a different color highlighter and took turns looking through the book, highlighting the names that we liked for both boys and girls. Then we put the book away and didn't look at it until we knew what we were having. Once we got back from the doctor's office, and knowing what we were having, we pulled out the book to see what names we both liked to narrow down the list. Then we each chose the two that we liked the best giving us four names. we would switch the names around and eventually came up with a name we were both happy about. Now we have a wonderfull 21 month old son named Lucas Aiden.

My son while I was pregnant, my daughter when I was 17 years old. The one we are ttc now I already know what we want to name it.

Before I got pregnant with my first child, my husband and I had already picked out a name that would be okay for a girl or boy. THEN, when we actually got pregnant, he changed his mind. So, we then picked out a boy and a girl name during the pregnancy, being that we didn't want to know the sex of the baby until it was born. That worked out best. However, for my second child, we had difference of opinions on the name and when the baby came two weeks earlier than expected, we had to hustle for a name. And she hates to this day eleven years later.
