Embarrasing Menstrual Situation

Ever had a really embarrassing period experience? Did you tell anyone? What advice could you give others so it doesn't happen to them?

Wax my tampon - Also!

Similar to the last post, I too had a somewhat embarrassing situation 2 periods ago during a bikini wax. I usually look ahead on the calendar and avoid getting a bikini wax when I think I'm going to have my period. But last month, I had a pending business trip and wanted to get a fresh wax before I left, so booked it on a day that I figured I wouldn't be menstruating. Of course, it turned out to be Day 2, my heaviest flow day. With dread, I shed my panties and the security of my maxi pad, changed tampons and donned the paper thong. When done, I looked down and realized that I had leaked through and an oh-so-lovely little crimson spot was showing. My face turned red to match. I apologized but the dear woman doing the wax eased my embarrasment a bit when she said "Not to worry - You're not the first and it doesn't bother me in the least." Regardless, she got an extra generous tip from me that day for having to deal with my period.

I've never tried this before, but if faced with the prospect again I might try inserting 2 tampons at once. Has anyone else tried this, and if so, does it work?

wax my tampon

Well, my embarassment happened just last weekend! It was time for my regular bikini wax and I had decided to try a new place. I got to the new place and the esthetician handed me a gown and the paper thong. As I was changing, I realized I had started my period and didn't have anything! So, not wanting to bleed all over the estheticians hands, I went out into the lounge and asked her for a tampon. Luckily she had one. I was so embarassed and it was all I could think about as she was waxing/tweezing me down there...hopefully it wasn't a major gross out for her!

It pays to be nice to people!

I was in this college math class one time with a really snotty girl sitting a few desks in front of me. One day when class was over, the girl stood in our aisle gathering her stuff and I couldn't pass by her. I said "Exucse me, can I get by". She glared at me, then she actually SLOWED DOWN what she was doing and didn't move until she was done.

Some time later, I was already sitting in my seat in the class room when the girl came to class late and sat down. I thought I saw a spot on her jeans when she sat down. I looked around at the other students and it didn't seem like they noticed anything. I thought "Did I see what I thought I saw? Did I not see it?" I was thinking I am not going to say anything to her because she was mean and tried to ignore my before when I wanted to pass. So maybe she would ignore me again.

At the end of class she stood up. Another lady behind her whispered to her, and then escorted her to the restroom. So it was a period stain. That mean girl never finished the semester with our math class. I guess she was THAT embarrased. The next semester I saw her walking on campus with a guy. When she saw me she looked scared and steared him into walking with her in another direction!

Major embarrassment

I didn't have to tell anyone about the 2 most embarrassing situations i experienced in relation to my monthly cycle. When I was 15 years old I took a driver's ed course during the summer 20 years ago. i of course had my period and I leaked through and around the pad that I was wearing without my knowledge at the time.

When class was dismissed I stood up and noticed a small puddle of blood on my chair. By then it was too late to hide it since I had already stood up. Nobody said anything though. Luckily I had a cold that day and had tissues on hand so i quickly wiped it off when no one was looking or so I thought.

Thinking I was the last person to leave the classroom, I left thinking the coast was clear. Before i knew it there were people coming out of other classrooms after me so the best I could really do at that point was to put my hands behind my back. I was wearing this mint green outfit that was cute during that era, but it wasn't so cute that day.

I refused to take the bus home as I usually did. Instead I went into the nurse's office and washed my shorts in the bathroom there and was given some supplies. I don't think anyone else but the nurse saw me walk out with wet shorts but that would have been better than being seen before the shorts were washed!

No. This is the worst 1st period.

I am 16 years old and my first period was when i was 12. I was going to the zoo with my bestfriend and we went to the seal show. I was wearing white shorts that day (that's life) and i didnt even raise my hand to volunteer and the guy picked me anyways to feed the seal. Out of like, i dont know, 100 or more people. So i did my thing and fed the seals and when i went to sit back down my friend was like "Did you sit in something?" And of course it was my period and i was freaking out because my mom wasnt there so my moms friend gave me a pad wayyyyyy too big for me, and then we had to leave. :(

1st period horrors

My worst was when I got my first period. I was 12 and I just happened to get it the morning of the 4th of July! My whole family (immediate and extended) were camping. When my mom found out she ran over to my aunt and told her, they both were singing "she's a woman now" and dancing around like crazy people. I still look back on it in flashbacks...:/
