Something like that happened to me 2

Me and some relatives had to get some last min stuff for a party and were going to walmart and I was cramping up really bad in the car but thought nothing of it and when we got out and started to the entrance this woman ran up to me and was like your pants are messed up in the back, mother nature must have just dropped in on you. I was sooooooo embarrased.

What I wish I knew in 7th grade

I was in 7th grade. Social Studies was the class, and I was not one of popular people around. I was an outside-of-the-rim person - in other words "a geek" - and I had attracted the mean kids' interest.

So in class I was sitting and listening to the teacher. The class bell rang and it was time to get up. I was new to having a period and at that time unable to estimate when my period would begin. That day and that moment it had started. I stood up and was shocked to see that my seat was bright red! My period had started and had gotten through my panties and my jeans. I was so embarrased, and it didn't help me that everyone noticed. The word spread and the mean kids had so much fun with this that I never was able to live it down until after 8th grade.

Keep track of your periods. Mark it on a calendar. Keep track of your body. See if you can feel ovulation. Watch the power and energy in your body. Watch for pain in joints and muscles. If you can, then you will be able to estimate its start time. It helps.

A meeting, a gush

I'm sitting in a meeting at work, around a big conference table, with mostly men, and feel a gush. uh oh. Was my period supposed to start around now? Guess so...

The meeting drones on and I totally zoned out thinking about the Southern Crisis. How will i get up and walk out? what will be the casualties - my powder blue suit, the linen colored chairs, my future in this office?!

The meeting finally ends, and everyone leaves, except me. My boss turns back and he says "aren't you coming" and I'm pretending to be absorbed writing notes. Eventually, coast clear, I rise, ever so slowly, turn, ever so slowly, look. Nothing! NOTHING!!

I make my way down to the ladies room, and check, and it's not as good. There are visible signs, albeit light, but nothing you want to walk around with. Using the minimal props a typical ladies room provides, paper towels and liquid soap, I'm able to wash it out. Then I have to stand under the hand blower drying my skirt.

My advice ladies is to know approximately when your period will start so your not caught off guard. It's one of the things I love about MyMonthlyCycles!

Just Say No to White Outfits during Ur Period

I was a Sophomore in college. It was the very end of summer and I arrive back at school to register, and it was really hot out. Had my period but really wanted to wear these white pants that looked equally as hot. My period flow was heavy and I should of known better, but vanity took a hold. Heavy flow actually an understatement - deluge anyone?

Despite frequent checks, disaster struck...major leak. Only sort of good news is that my friend clued me in and happened to have just bought campus sweatshirt from the bookstore. It's like 95 degrees and I'm walking along with a sweatshirt wrapped around my waste, looking dorky, but at least I could get back to my dorm room without further humiliation.

To this day, I've never worn white on heavy menstrual days, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
