TTC After Birth Control

Did you recently -- or some time ago -- come off birth control to TTC? What birth control were you using? Have your periods/cycles returned to your normal? Are you waiting a few months, or trying right away?

TTC After Birth Control

I stopped taking BC in July and in November I took provera to jump start my periods, which hasn't seemed to work. In fact I skipped a month of ovulating after wards and still no period. I have been trying since September.

TTC After Mirena and Vasectomy Reversal

I was on Mirena. My cycles were fairly normal for being on Mirena and breastfeeding. I started my cycle Dec 15th, had my mirena removed on Dec 20th, and ovulated on Dec 24th. I have not yet started my next cycle and am not pregnant. I'm not a patient person and know that it took my DH and I a while to get pregnant with my first after a Vesectomy Reversal.. I just need some patients.

???Provera???

My husband and I decided we were going to try and have a baby after we got married in October, so I went off birth control in May. I had a regular period in June and then my periods just stopped. I didn't have another period at all before the wedding. When we got back from our honeymoon I went to the doctor and told her we wanted to try and have a baby but I wasn't getting periods and I wasn't pregnant. (I tested about 3 times every month to make sure) My doctor did blood tests on my hormones and thyroid and some other tests. Everything came back normal and the serum pregnancy test she did was neg. She then prescribed me provera to "jump start" system. I took it for 14 days and got my period 3 days after the last pill. That period lasted about 7 days and was really light. my cycles before bc were usually right on 5 days and they were med flow with cramping the first day. I was just wondering if anybody knows how likely it is that my system will go back to normal after just one cycle on provera??? My doctor didn't say anything about another cycle on it. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Thanks everyone and ***Lots of Baby Dust to Everyone***

No period but TTC

I stopped talking birth control at the end of July. It is now almost November and I have not had a period yet. I am waiting until 6 months to be concerned since between 3 and 6 months is a normal waiting time for your cycle to go back to normal. I have been tracking my temperature since the end of september and it appears that I have at least ovulated once. I've always had irregular cycles and my husband and I are TTC. Just anxious to at least have AF again and semi-normal cycles.
